The Sequel II is the aptly named smarter follow-on to the Sequel system that produces superior quality long read sequencing data. The sequel II can generate upto 500Gb CCS data per SMRT cell. We use this instrument for de novo genome sequencing of larger genomes when scientists want to generate higher coverage of 60X or more. The Sequel II system also delivers HiFi longer read lengths of higher quality for de novo genome sequencing, low input DNA protocol, SV discovery, Variant discovery, Iso-Sequencing, 16s Full length Sequencing, shotgun metagenome sequencing and targeted Amplicon sequencing applications.
