PGx Panel Sequencing
The TaqMan OpenArray PGx (Pharmacogenomics) Express Panel is an efficient, easy-to-use OpenArray plate for pharmacogenomics applications. The assays were developed to detect polymorphisms in genes encoding drug metabolism enzymes (DMEs) and associated transport proteins.
- Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) account for up to 7% of all hospital admissions, and up to 20% of re-admissions, and are the fourth leading cause of death. Genetic factors can account for up to 95% of an individual’s drug responseand are estimated to contribute to as much as 20% of the total number of reported ADRs.
- This panel allows PGx discovery and translational research to help drive customized medicine and potentially enhance patient care, with read lengths of up to 25 kb and >99.9% accuracy.
- Enables the discovery of structural and complicated variations, direct haplotype phasing, and coverage of uncommon variants
